It was just us, my Mom and I, for a bit. Mom didn’t take many photos but there are some, including these. Some she had taken, others she’d so graciously allowed
my grubby, kid, fingers to compose. “Mommy, I frew up” was a common phrase uttered from my 5 year-old mouth. Sometimes at 4am, waking her up with a jump
using my harsh voice or in the car due to motion sickness. I try to focus not on the times of uneasiness but, instead, on the loud moments and the quiet ones,
too--on the solace I find in remembering the time when we were both young. Thanks Beth ;)
